Have you ever wonder about this?

Okay this may sound weird but i have always wonder about this ever since i was a little kid and so had I believe everyone studied science or history before always had a hard time remembering names of the the places or invention named after the inventor or founder but have you ever wonder who created alphabets, all the words and nouns that we have right now. Take for example dog, why must that particular word dog represent that particular animal the dog. Well if you just try asking an adult, their probable answer would be that this is the way our forefather had created or started it this way. Try asking another question regarding who is this particular forefather that we are talking about and see whether they would answer you in the same manner as before. I'm not trying to change anything here but don't you feel curios that why are there only 26 alphabets available and only 5 vowels can't there be more or less or even words like cat or chicken who were the origins that started giving things their respective names?
